Ear Wax Removal

Ear wax can build up in our ear canals and become dry, impacted and affect our hearing. When this happens, it’s best to contact a hearing specialist for a professional removal.

There are three different methods of ear wax removal depending on ear wax texture or preexisting conditions to the outer and middle ear space.

• Irrigation: a steady stream of water is used to flush out ear wax from the ear canal

• Micro Suction: a small vacuum suctions onto ear wax and gently removes it from the ear canal

• Instrumentation: tools such as a lighted curette is inserted into the ear canal to pull out ear wax from the ear canal
